About MercyMe
MercyMe has risen through the ranks of indie rock musicians without compromising their beliefs, constantly releasing music that connects with fans in all walks of life. Crafting Music Out of Inspiration, Passion, and Experience
After suffering injuries in a high school football game, Bart Millard's dreams of being a professional athlete were shattered. Instead, he turned to music. He became deeper and deeper involved in music, almost by happenstance, until he and pianist James Bryson decided to start a band with guitarist Mike Scheuchzer. After filling out their lineup, MercyMe relentlessly released independently until INO Records signed them in 2001. Their debut studio album was a smash hit, featuring the Dove Award winning single "I Can Only Imagine." Their subsequent releases continued to climb the Christian music charts and pull in even more Dove Awards, and in 2004 MercyMe went on tour with Amy Grant and Bebo Norman. In 2006 MercyMe released Coming Up to Breathe, an album shaded by nostalgia for their grunge-rock roots. Their sixth album, The Generous Mr. Lovewell, proved to be their most successful album to date, crowning the Christian Albums Chart and landing at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
MercyMe 2020 Tour
The band toured through February, March, and April of 2020. During these months they performed in major cities such as Houston, Providence, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Minneapolis, and many more. Their tour featured Jeremy Camp (who has a movie about the inspiring relationship he had with his first wife featuring KJ APA playing him, out in March 2020) and David Leonard. In October 2019 they released a brand new single, “Almost Home” – about always reminding yourself even at your lowest moments that the race of life is worth running.
With a new single out in 2019, fans are desperate to get to MercyMe concerts. Get your cheap MercyMe tickets here and join in singing along to their beautifully written music with hundreds of other fans!
