The Eighteen Inning Game – The August 25, 2001 game between the team at the Ball Park in Arlington may not be a high scoring one, but it went on for six and a half hours. In front of forty thousand plus fans, the Red Sox and the Rangers fought for every base, run and out. In the end it was the Texas Rangers who came out on top with an 8–7 win.
