About .38 Special
Get ready to rock hard with .38 Special, the Southern rock stars of the 1980s! Feel the nostalgia of when you heard their radio hits for the first time by snagging your cheap .38 Special tickets today!
Storming in with Southern rock attitude
.38 Special kicked into gear when friends Don Barnes and Donnie Van Zant decided to start a band in 1974. They filled out their lineup and debuted their self-titled album in 1977, displaying a strong Southern rock sound. By the time they released Rockin' into the Night in 1979, they had started transitioning to a more popular rock sound, still supported by their Southern rock style. The 1980s launched them to success, with singles like "Hold On Loosely," "Caught Up in You," and "If I'd Been the One" quickly garnering them fame. They became radio favorites, climbing up the charts. They toured with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., REO Speedwagon, and even Styx. Over the years the lineup has changed dramatically, with Donnie Van Zant retiring in 2013, but the group has continued to rock hard and impress their fans with their radio hits.
With no new albums out since 2004's Drivetrain, fans are especially excited to get into .38 Special concerts to get their fix of the band. Join the rocking rowdy crew by picking up your cheap .38 Special tickets here!
