About Trace Adkins

Getting the honky tonk on
Trace Adkins found himself drawn to music after his father began teaching him guitar. He pursued music at all costs, playing at honky tonk bars and moving to Nashville. His years of toiling paid off when Dreamin' Out Loud produced several hit singles, including "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing." In 2001 Chrome was his debut into the Top 5 on the Country Album charts. In 2003 he was invited into the Grand Ole Opry, every country musician's dream. "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" was his first foray into the Top 40, giving him a mainstream fan base. He embarked on a tour with Martina McBride and recorded "Hillbilly Bone" with Blake Shelton. Even as he continues to rack up No. 1 hit singles and charting albums, he's delved into other aspects of entertainment. He's made several film and TV appearances, including several runs in Celebrity Apprentice.
