History

Several 1990s metal bands such as Carnage and Carcass lost band members in 1995 that came together in collaboration and created the band known as "Arch Enemy." The goal of this collaboration was to maintain the scene of death metal in Europe and the rest of the globe. Ten albums have been released over the course of their history, and the band has also gained new talent since Johan Liiva, one of the band's founders retired, setting a new path for Arch Enemy. Angela Gassow, lead vocalist from 2001 to 2014, decided to take a step back managing the band but sought a lead replacement with Alissa White-Gluz. The current band members have joined the band at different times since 2001, but it was at that time that the band's climb to fame became a worldwide phenomenon.
