Worldwide Sensations

Babymetal was formed in 2010 and is based out of Tokyo, Japan. The group were originally formed as a subgroup of the Japanese Idol band Sakura Gakuin, however they split off in 2013 as their own group allowing them to create music that was a fusion of Japanese Idol and heavy metal. In 2014 the band released their self-entitled debut album, becoming an instant success in Japan. The album would go on to chart in Metal Charts around the world including in Germany, the UK, and the United States. Later that year they began touring under their Babymetal World Tour 2014, while also performing alongside legendary metal bands like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and even Lady Gaga at festivals around the world. Over the years Babymetal has become a sensation not only in Japan, but also around the world.

After seeing immense success from their first and second albums, the band announced in early 2019 that they would be releasing their third studio album. Along with the release of their new album, the duo also announced that they would be embarking on a supporting tour. This album marked three years since the group has last released an album.
