About Billy Strings
Born as William Apostol, the artist uses Billy Strings as his stage name. Growing up in Michigan, he was introduced to the bluegrass scene at a young age. He quickly became a fan or rock and metal music and often played in indie rock bands when he was young. Billy Strings became known in 2017 when Rolling Stone listed him as a top country artist to know, having played with Dierks Bentley, Bob Weir, and other artists. His fourth studio album Home , won a Grammy for best bluegrass album, making him a Grammy winning artist. With another album out in 2021, Billy Strings is destined to take charge of the bluegrass scene.
2022 Shows
Set to perform at the Austin City Music Festival and Lollapalooza along with a tour, Billy Strings had a packed year of live performances in 2022. Starting in the heat of summer, Billy had live shows in Baltimore, Los Angeles, Indianapolis and more cities around the country. Also performing at the Outlaw Music Festival and Ohana Music Festival, fans had many chances to hear Billy live on stage.
