About Bryson Tiller
Contemporary R&B singer-songwriter Bryson Tiller, a self-proclaimed "trap soul" artist, has recently made a name for himself in the music industry. Born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 2, 1993, the young musician found his footing with the help of early approval from prominent performers Drake and Timbaland, who have since both co-signed him. It was Tiller's SoundCloud page that helped earn him recognition from notable musicians. His breakout single "Don't," which was released on his web page in May 2015 and eventually became the first single on his debut album, also became Tiller's first top 40 hit.
Following the popularity of Tiller's hit "Don't," which gained more than 35 million streams on his SoundCloud page, the young artist was noticed by his idols Drake and Timbaland - some of the best in the industry. Those relationships eventually led to a signed creative partnership with RCA Records. Tiller's inaugural album "T R A P S O U L" (2015) debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 2000. As other hit singles such as "Break Bread," "Let 'Em Know," "Exchange" and "Sorry Not Sorry," continue to make waves, cheap tickets to performances of passionate, fresh, Southern rap and R&B melodies will soon be hard to come by.
Still too fresh on the scene to earn himself any accolades at the major award shows, this young artist has nonetheless gained significant recognition already. Following the recent success of his debut album "T R A P S O U L" (2015), you can expect many more nostalgic trap records in the years ahead.
Much of Tiller's inspiration has come from the R&B singers of the early 2000s. In fact, Omarion - member of boy band B2K before beginning a solo career - is the reason he began singing in the first place. Tiller began singing at 15 and put out his first mixtape "Killer Instinct" when he was 17. Tiller has also said that he's always looked up to Drake as a big brother, especially since his real older brother wasn't always around. The young musician who considers his music soulful, trap- and hip hop-influenced R&B with heavy 808s and the snares, has said his music has grown lyrically as he's developed.
The passionate R&B singer has recently embarked on his first international tour, and some Bryson Tiller tickets sold out in a matter of hours. If that doesn't tell you enough, try taking just one listen to his music without getting instantly hooked. The next best thing - the perfect blend of artful hip hop and R&B - is here.
