About Courtney Barnett
In 2015 I've Got a Friend Called Emily Ferris made Courtney Barnett an Australian indie darling, her deadpan delivery and clever lyrics shining. Infusing alt rock with a tinge of grunge style and sass, this Australian-born artist is poised for round-the-world popularity – so act now to get your cheap Courtney Barnett tickets before they're all gone!
Finding a new voice in grunge
Courtney Barnett first made a name for herself on the local Hobart circuit before she moved to Melbourne for the more diverse music scene. She played everything from garage grunge to psych-country before releasing her debut solo EP in 2012. Singles like "Avant Gardener" and "Pedestrian at Best" showcase her signature blend of folk-pop with grunge edging. By the time she released her first full-length album in 2015, she already had ranks of fans around the world. Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit was heralded by publications like Rolling Stone, The Times, and Pitchfork as one of the best albums of the year. She has been honored with nominations for the Grammy for Best New Artist and the Brit Award for International Female Solo Artist, and in 2015 she won the ARIA Music Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Female Artist.
With sardonically honest lyrics backed by whimsically catching melodies, Courtney Barnett is on track to capture audiences around the world. Pick up your cheap Courtney Barnett tickets today to be one of the first to party with this rising Australian star!
