Establishing a legacy
The Fargo Force is a relatively young team, though the devotion to hockey in North Dakota stretches back throughout sports history. The Fargo Force got its start in 2008 with a winning season, heading all the way to the Clark Cup Finals where they lost to the Indiana Ice. The following year they hoped to redeem themselves against the Green Bay Gamblers, but heartbreak was even more poignant when they suffered a 2-3 loss. Over the next few years, they continued to rank high in the Western Conference, though the final championship title still eluded them. Then, in 2018, the team's hard work paid off. The USHL team soundly defeated the Youngstown Phantoms and finally claimed the trophy that had long been just out of their reach.
