British rock gets down to boogie

Foghat got its start when Dave Peverett, Tony Stevens, and Roger Earl departed Savoy Brown. After recruiting Rod Price, Foghat was born. They released their debut album in 1972, and for the next several years would record and tour tirelessly. By the 1980s the band had seen several lineup changes, their sound morphing with the times. In 1993 fans were delighted when the original members came back together with Return of the Boogie Men, a throwback to the group's original sound. However Price decided that he needed a break from music, and he was replaced with Bryan Bassett. The 2000s saw further heartbreak for the band, as both Dave Peverett and Rob Price passed away. With Charlie Huhn now the frontman, Foghat released Family Joules in 2003. Foghat continues to rock hard and release new albums, keeping fans satisfied.
