About Garbage
As a band that turned rock upside down with their genre-bending, Garbage was a trailblazer in the 1990s music scene. Flipping the genre on its head with influences from trip hop, grunge, techno, and power pop, Garbage concerts crackle with their own signature electricity. Feel it for yourself by getting your cheap Garbage tickets here!
Tapping into the angst of the 90s
Garbage got its start in the early 1990s, when musicians Duke Erikson, Butch Vig, and Steve Marker decided they wanted a strong female voice to lead their band. After hearing Shirley Manson perform with Angelfish, they decided to invite her to audition. Before they had even released an album, their single "Vow" was getting significant radio time. They debuted with a self-titled album in 1995, with singles like "Only Happy When It Rains," "Stupid Girl," and "Milk" making them an international success. They toured with juggernauts like U2 and Alanis Morissette, and their 2001 album Beautiful Garbage went on to be lauded by publications like Rolling Stone. While in the studio for their fourth album, internal tensions grew to a breaking point. The band took a break, eventually releasing Bleed Like Me in 2005 and going on tour, truncated again by turmoil. After years out of the studio, Garbage reconciled, releasing Not Your Kind of People in 2012 and Strange Little Birds in 2016.
In 2018 the band launched a special Garbage tour to celebration the 20th anniversary of Version 2.0. Fans are eager to relive their past hits and rock along to new favorites, so make sure you get your cheap Garbage tickets before they're all gone!
