A family endeavor
Brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer began making music together over a decade ago when they were growing up in Sacramento, back when they needed music to put behind videos of them skateboarding. They began experimenting with hip hop, but now they collaborate by fusing their hippie lifestyle with their love of EDM. Their first EP came out in 2013, and they used Bandcamp to grow their fanbase. They began to get mainstream exposure when they remixed Tove Lo's single "Habits (Stay High)." The remix gained international notoriety when singer Ellie Goulding shared it on her Instagram. Hippie Sabotage has also collaborated with Cubic Z, and they have even performed at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre as part of a Gramatik concert.
