A History of Lettuce
Lettuce was initially formed back in Boston in 1992. Around this time, the members were attending a music program at the Berklee College of Music, located in Boston, MA. At this time, the members of the band were teenagers. They drew on the influence of a number of major prior bands including Earth, Wind, and Fire. This initial gathering was short-lived; however, the members came back together in 1994 during their college years. The band would go to local clubs and try to play, using the phrase “Let us play!” This led to the name, Lettuce. The band started to perform locally and developed a large following in some of the largest cities in the world. The band released their first album, titled Outta Here, in 2002. This jumpstarted their career and the band only grew from there.
