They quickly proved their willingness to experiment and push the boundaries of music, delving into math rock, synth prog rock, and even power ballads. The band continued to build their fanbase around the country with successful albums like 2005's Menos El Oso and 2007's Planet of Ice. Minus The Bear devastated fans in 2018 with the news the band would be dissolving. The artists launched one more Minus The Bear tour that would finish with a final hometown performance, accompanied by the release of a final EP, Fair Enough.
