Monica Tickets

Monica Denise Brown (Arnold) was born on October 24, 1980, in College Park, Georgia. She is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. Monica began performing as a child as part of a gospel choir. She broke out on the music scene in 1995 when she released her debut album entitled Miss Thang. Monica had several successful albums after her debut, including the album, The Boy is Mine in 1998, which was a global bestseller.

Career

Many of Monica’s singles were number one hits on both the pop and R&B charts, including her very first single, “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days)” and the singles, “The Boy is Mine” (which she recorded with Brandy), “Everything to Me”, “Before You Walk Out Of My Life”, “Like This and Like That”, "Angel of Mine", and "The First Night." Monica also acted in movies and television shows, starring in movies like Boys and Girls and Pastor Brown and television shows such as Living Single and Felicity. Monica took a hiatus from singing, but returned to the studio in 2003 and released the hit single “So Gone”. Monica is the only R&B artist to hit the singles chart in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. Monica was also the youngest R&B female singer to have two consecutive singles hit the Billboard charts. Monica has sold over 5.3 million albums in the U.S. alone.

Tour

In 2018, Monica released the single “Be Human” which helped introduce The Be Human Foundation, which is a non-profit organization she founded. During 2018, she also previewed her latest album, Chapter 38. Her first single from that album, called “Commitment”, was released in 2019.
