About Periphery
One of the most popular progressive metal bands of the past 15 years, Periphery is known for its energetic performing style and unique concerts. They have been described in multiple ways including progressive metalcore, progressive metal in general, and even djent. This versatility has contributed to their commercial success. They are often listed as one of the pioneers of this genre and have contributed largely to this field's success. The band originated in Washington, D.C. and has been associated with numerous labels since their inception back in 2005. Their labels include 3DOT Records, Century Media, and eOne. The band has released five separate studio albums and two different EPs. Due to the success in recent years, the band is going on tour in 2019.
A History of Periphery
The band was first formed back in 2005 and gained its first attention through a Soundclick account which they updated regularly. The band's members already had a reputation for audio production which contributed to their early success. During the first few years, the band went through several lineup changes before it enjoyed some stability. They first performed locally before branching out on wider tours starting in 2008. The band released their first self-titled debut album in 2010. This led to significant success and resulted in the band continuing to tour and release multiple other studio albums over the next 10 years. The band has performed with numerous other artists including Fair to Midland, Fear Factory, and Between the Buried and Me. This year, the band will be going on tour again across the country.
The Periphery Tour in 2019
Periphery toured again in 2019, giving countless people the chance to hear them perform in person. This summer, the tour reached parts of the Northeastern United States and Canada but hit other parts of the country later in the year. While cheap Periphery tickets are available, their performances do tend to sell out quick. Those interested in hearing a Periphery concert should purchase their tickets early to make sure that they have a seat.
