A Colombian Sensation

Although Piso 21 did not get widespread attention until 2012, the band had their beginning in 2007. The Colombian based group rose steadily to fame after they released singles “Vagones Vacios”, “Angel Mortal”, and “Correr El Riesgo”. When the band released their first self-entitled album in 2012, they were skyrocketed to fame and by the end of the year they received their first Latin Grammy Award for the Best New Artist. Piso 21 reached international stardom when they released their single “Suele Suceder”, a song that topped the charts in Latin America and then later became the band’s first single to chart on US charts. In 2016 the band signed with their first record label, Warner Music Latina, and under them they released their most successful single to date. “Me Llamas” quickly reached to the top of the charts in 40 Latin American countries, and with the remix featuring Maluma was released the song skyrocketed even more. The band continuously releases new music to their YouTube channel and Spotify, quickly trending among both channels. In 2019 one of the original members of the band announced that they would be leaving the band to pursue a solo career. After the departure of Juan David Castano, the band replaced him with the upcoming artist David Lorduy Hernandez. Today the band continues to release new music and tour throughout the world performing their biggest hits.
