About State Champs
State Champs is an American Rock Band on the rise. They hit the ground running ever since their formation in 2010. The music they released has caught the attention of many, contributing to their ever growing fanbase. Catch this epic band and order your cheap tickets today!
The Formation
State Champs are from Albany, New York, and was originally formed by lead singer Derek DiScanio and lead guitarist Tyler Szalkowski. They immediately got to work and released their first EP in August called 2010. The band then toured with The Tired and True and Call it Fiction. By spring of 2012, the band had signed with Pure Noise and began releasing new music under their management. Through the years the band has toured with many notable groups such as Hit the Lights, A Loss for Words, With the Punches, Forever Came Calling, and more. In 2013, the band released their first full-length album which debuted at number two on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
Style
Although considered more of a recent band, they have accumulated success quickly. Going on many tours and accompanying major headlines has contributed to their ever growing fanbase. They have found their groove over the years and their style can be considered pup punk. Some of their influences include Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Blink 182. Their most recent album, Living Proof, represents the band’s journey over the years in terms of securing their sound. Fans were ready to stream this album from various platforms.
Fall Tour
State Champs announced a fall tour. And they didn’t travel alone! They co-headlined with the infamous band, Simple Plan. And it didn’t stop there, We The Kings also joined them on select dates. The tour kicked off at The National in Richmond on October 29th. Stops on this tour included Niagara Falls, NY, Cincinnati, OH, Dallas, TX, Los Angeles, and more.
