Taking Back Sunday got its start in 1999, a tumultuous start full of lineup changes. With little attention for their debut EP, bassist Adam Lazzara was moved to lead vocals – a change that would alter the future of the band. They released Tell All Your Friends in 2002 while relentlessly touring. Their sophomore album, Where You Want to Be, was a critical and commercial success. Taking Back Sunday's popularity spread even further when their music was used for movies like Spider-Man 2, Elektra, and Fantastic Four. Their third album, Louder Now, captured more of the intense energy of Taking Back Sunday concerts. With singles like "MakeDamnSure," the record propelled the band to mainstream success. In 2010 Taking Back Sunday brought back the original members, returning to the lineup of Tell All Your Friends. The band released a self-titled album a year later and since then has continued to record prolifically and tour frequently.
