Early Life and Career
Trisha Paytas was born on May 8, 1988 in Riverside, California although she relocated to Rockford, Illinois after her parents divorced when she was three years old. After she graduated high school in 2006 she relocated to Los Angeles where she had the intention of pursuing a career in acting. After acting on several low-funded television shows, Trisha made a YouTube channel, originally dedicated to famous director Quentin Tarantino. Eventually she transformed her channel to focus on fashion, beauty, and relationship advice. As she created more outlandish videos, Trisha began to gain a lot of attention from her videos and eventually generated millions of subscribers and views.
Online Sensation
After creating a second channel in 2014 focused mainly on vlogs, Trisha transformed her main channel to allow her to post eating shows, but more importantly music videos. Starting out, Trisha mainly posted covers of songs on her channel, with unique videos along with it. Her first single posted on her channel was a cover of “Santa Baby”. That following year she released her first EP Fat Chicks, which ended up being featured on some mainstream new sources. While none of her music has seen mainstream success, the substantial number of subscribers across her YouTube channels have surrounded the music in popularity.
2019 Heartbreak Tour
In the fall of 2018 Trisha Paytas released another EP entitled Chicken Parm and Heartbreak. Coming off her public breakup with fellow YouTuber Jason Nash, Trisha announced via a video on her channel that she would be embarking on a nationwide tour called The Heartbreak Tour. She performed all her original songs including from both her most recent release and Fat Chicks. The tour kicked off in Dallas on July 27th and wrapped up in her hometown of Los Angeles in October. Along the way it saw stops in Phoenix, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Cleveland.
