Sports at Nationals Park
Opened in 2008, Nationals Park shines as an example of modern baseball park design. It was built in part to attract a professional baseball team to the nation's capital, successfully bringing the Montreal Expos over in 2005. Now the Washington Nationals, the team played their first regular season game in 2008, with then-President George W. Bush throwing the first pitch. The Nationals have done the city proud, winning the division title in 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017. The stadium has hosted other premier sports events, including the 2015 Winter Classic, where the Washington Capitals pulled out a stunning, last minute victory against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Concerts at Nationals Park
Concerts at Nationals Park started off in 2009 with a legendary duo, Billy Joel and Elton John performing together on the Face to Face tour. Since then, everyone from Taylor Swift to One Direction, Paul McCartney to the Dave Matthews Band, has performed on the diamond.
Few things can beat a summer evening at the baseball park, whether you're there for a Nationals game or a spectacular stadium show. Make sure you have a seat reserved by getting your cheap Nationals Park tickets today!
