The Bellamy Brothers History

David Milton and Homer Howard Bellamy never grew up with any formal musical training. No such lessons were needed when you grew up with the musicians these two brothers did. The duo signed with Curb Records to kick off their music career in 1975. A year later, the Bellamy Brothers released their biggest hit, "Let Your Love Flow". More than a dozen countries, including the United States, saw the single rise to the No.1 spot. "If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" was released later in 1979. The song won "Record of the Year" in the UK that year. Later in 2003, that lyric was named the No. 1 country pick-up line of all time!

2005 brought a compilation album featuring artiists like Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, and Montgomery Gentry. In more recent ventures, the duo has collaborated with global artists. They recorded their Greatest Hits Sessions with Swiss rock star Gölä in 2010, and later released Simply the Best with Austrian schlager singer DJ Ötzi in 2012. The brothers rewrote history when they toured in India and Sri Lanka in 2014, becoming the first country music act to tour in those countries.
