Ruthless Contributor To The Industry
Ben Folds started his music career as part of the three man band, Ben Folds Five. The band saw massive traction in the UK, with their single "Underground" reaching the Top 40. The band broke up in 2001, and Folds began to pursue a solo career. He played nearly every instrument for his songs, including an instrument that was lacking in the Ben Folds Five sound, the guitar. He went on to create tracks for motion pictures, like "Red is Blue" for Hoodwinked! and "Heist", "Family of Me", and "Still" for Over The Hedge. The versatile artist also produced many albums for others, like Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls' Who Killed Amanda Palmer. He taught a Pop/Rock master class at the Performing Arts' American Voices festival with Sara Bareilles.
