Mastering the nuances of country music
Growing up in Mississippi, Marty Stuart was enamored with the musical heritage of the region. He joined a bluegrass band before he was even a teenager, and soon was playing with greats like Roland White, Lester Flatt, and Johnny Cash. His solo career picked up in the 1980s when he released "Arlene." He relocated to Nashville and in 1989 released Hillbilly Rock, the first of his albums to widely connect with listeners and critics. "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'," a single he recorded with Travis Tritt, slingshot Stuart to fame with chart success and a Grammy Award. In 2005 he founded his own label with several successful records released. That year he was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance from the Americana Music Honors & Awards, a fitting honor for a man who has both curated a museum exhibit and started a TV show to preserve and advance country music.
With a new album out in 2017, fans are anxious to see Marty Stuart live once again. Pick up your cheap Marty Stuart tickets here for an unforgettable evening with a country music legend!
