About Old Dominion
Old Dominion are a new country band comprised of five guys: lead singer Matthew Ramsey, guitarist Trevor Rosen, drummer Whit Sellers, bassist Geoff Sprung and guitarist Brad Tursi. Four of the members - all but Rosen - grew up in Virginia which is how the band came up with their name. Before they made it big, the band performed shows at private residences for cash.
Billboard chart toppers
Although they have not been on the scene long, they have already been working at their craft behind other great artists like Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry and Sam Hunt. Together they have melded a unique sound that plays with country and rock. Their single, "Break Up With Him" has reached the No. 3 spot on the Hot Country Single chart in 2015, and the No. 1 spot on Sirius XM's country station. But it's popularity didn't stop there - it hit several other lists, including The Billboard Hot 100. Since then, the band has released their second album, Happy Endings, which reached Gold certification by the RIAA, and had three singles hit the No. 1 spot on the US Country Airplay chart.
On Tour with Kenny Chesney
Two is better than one?! Kenny Chesney released word of his Chillaxification 2020 Tour, and of the three groups he was taking with him on tour as openers. He is taking Old Dominion, Florida Georgia Line, and as somewhat of a surprise twist, Michael Franti & Spearhead. The Chillaxification Tour kicks off 2020 from the beginning of April through the end of August. Chesney said that in all his performances he tries to bring something different and new, but that his 2020 tour openers will make it his best line up yet. Chesney will be playing from the middle of April through the end of August in venues across the States. Included stadiums will be: AT&T in Arlington TX, Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta GA, Nissan in Nashville TN, SoFi in Inglewood CA, Gillette in Foxborough MA, and many more!
