On Dec. 1, 1987 James Keogh was born in Melbourne, Australia. James would later come to be known as Vance Joy to audiences everywhere. Musically however, Joy has said he has been influenced by Paul Kelly, George Harrison and timeless songs from his parent's youth. Joy is a big movie buff, which he will note in some of his material. He has referenced movies like "Midnight Cowboy" and "Infamous," and even Al Pacino's "Scent of a Woman."
