From sports fanatic to music star

Growing up in North Carolina, sports was always Chris Lane's first love. However, with multiple surgeries threatening a sports career, he decided to pick up guitar. He started playing covers around town, and even auditioned for American Idol, though he failed to make it on the show. However, in 2008 Chris Lane made an important connection with Seth England of Big Loud Mountain management, putting him on the path to success. He started the Chris Lane Band, which released their debut album in 2012. After relocating to Nashville, Chris Lane was invited to tour with some of the biggest names in country music, including Chris Young, the Eli Young Band, and Florida Georgia Line. He decided to strike out on his own and released "Broken Windshield View" in 2014. His debut solo album, Girl Problems, was released two years later and featured the hit single "Fix." In 2017 he was nominated for new artist awards at both the iHeartRadio Music Awards and the ACM Awards.
